The Ride for RUBY has started!

Yesterday Alex, me and my dad rode from Pemberton through the mountains in the wind and rain to Whistler. We got to Nesters and they had hot apple cider for us. They were awesome. Thanks to everyone who donated yesterday! Thank you Nicky, Kim and Gord for letting us stay in your beautiful home in Whistler.

Ruby's Birthday!

I went to see Ruby in the hospital on her birthday. She is still in isolation so all of her presents and treats had to be washed before she could play with them.  I had to wear a gown to make sure we didn't bring in any germs so Ruby was protected, after her bone marrow transplant. It was a good visit!
I am hoping that i will get good weather for my bike ride and hope it stops raining.

Hi, my name is Ava Caldwell, I’m 10 years old and I live in Pemberton. One of my best friends, Ruby has Leukemia, again. I wanted to do something to help her and to show her I care and miss her. I’m planning on doing a bike ride from my house in Pemberton to Ruby’s house in Courtenay BC, on Vancouver Island. I’m hoping this will raise money to help Ruby and her family. I will be riding from Pemberton to Whistler on May 30^th.

This is the update on Ruby!
She just had a bone marrow transplant and she is doing ok she is in isolation. Ruby's  birthday is coming up on May 24 im hoping she will be out of  isolation by then and i can go and have a visit!
